Planning Your SEC TV Viewing? Here's CBS' Schedule

We already know that CBS will carry Arkansas' game in Little Rock with LSU on Nov. 28 (and, according to CBS now, that game will be at 2:30 p.m. rather than 1:30 p.m.), but apparently only a couple of other Razorback games even pique the network's interest: a home game Oct. 4 against Florida and the Nov. 22 road game at Mississippi State. Those two games are listed as possibilities on weeks that CBS will be able to wait and choose closer to game time.

Here's the CBS lineup.

Georgia, LSU and Florida, natually, get lots of coverage. We wish CBS would carry a couple more SEC night games in the first 6-7 weeks of the season. That might make an Auburn-Arkansas game at Auburn more likely to be carried nationally on Oct. 11. Maybe Hog fans don't want that game carried nationally, though, not this year. Then again, most everyone expected a Hog slaughter in 2006 there too. The only slaughtering was done BY the Hogs, to the tune of 27-10 over the then No. 2 Tigers.

Alabama and LSU in Baton Rouge should be a night game. Always a night game. But, alas, CBS will show it at 2:30 p.m.

Look for more news now out of ESPN, but especially out of Raycom for scheduled TV games for the Razorbacks in September. In fact, don't be surprised when Raycom picks up the Arkansas-Alabama game on Sept. 20 and sets an 11:30 a.m. kickoff, as much as we hate that.

The Sept. 13 clash between Arkansas and Texas at Austin will be carried by ABC with a 2:30 p.m. start. Bring the sunscreen if you're attending; fix a nice big pitcher of margaritas and a bowl of guac if you can't be there and you're sitting at home, just for the flavor of Austin.
